Injectable FAQs

  • “Wrinke reducer” is a term used interchangably at Rhody’s when referring to neurotoxins, such as Botox, Xeomin, and Jeuveau.

These neurotoxins are purified proteins derived from the botulinum toxin. In cosmetics, a small, controlled dose is injected, temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles, smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines caused by repetitive facial movements. Surrounding muscles are left untreated to preserve normal facial expressions.

Most common treatment areas are the 11’s, crows, lip flip, and forehead.

  • This is a quick, minimally invasive procedure that smooths fine lines and wrinkles by relaxing targeted facial muscles. The injections take about 10–20 minutes with little to no downtime, after a consultation has been completed by our Nurse Practitioner, Noelle.

Mild redness or swelling may occur but usually fades quickly. Results may appear in as little as 4-7 days, but full results make take 14 days. We aim to retreat the area in 3-4 months.

  • A filler is an injectable treatment used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the skin.

At Rhody’s Noelle is trained in and specializes in Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) filler. It not only provides immediate volume and lift but also stimulates your body’s natural collagen production over time.

Results are immediate and can last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on the product and area treated. Common areas include lips, cheeks, smile lines, and under the eyes.

  • All fillers contain lidocaine, making the cosmetic procedure more comfortable. Rhody’s offers a variety of distractors to ease anxiety for this treatment.

You can expect some mild swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites. Avoid anything that may cause additional bleeding up to a week before the treatment (advil, motrin, alcohol, fishoil to name a few!)

Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive sun or heat exposure for 24–48 hours to minimize swelling or irritation. Refrain from touching or massaging the treated areas unless instructed by your provider.

Results are visible immediately, settling over the next 2 weeks. Noelles famous saying is “don’t love or hate fillers for 2 weeks!”
