Regenerative FAQs
-
regenerative medicine refers to treatments that stimulate the body’s natural healing processes to restore or enhance skin and tissue health. This includes therapies like platelet- rich plasma (PRP), exosomes or use of tiny needles, which promote collagen production, improve skin texture, and reduce signs of aging. The goal is to rejuvenate the skin from within rather than just temporarily masking imperfections.
-
Microneedling uses tiny needles to create controlled injury to the skin to trigger collagen production and improve skin texture. We call ours the Exosome Collagen Treatment- as a exosome mask is applied to aid in the healing process.
Microchanneling is similar but uses a stamping technique with more precise, uniform channels and often includes applying serums (aka the aquagold or vampire facial) that absorb better through those channels.

Diluted Radiesse and Sculptra are both injectables used to stimulate collagen, but they work differently:
Diluted Radiesse is a calcium-based gel that's thinned out with saline and lidocaine. It gives an immediate subtle plump and boosts collagen over time. It also stimulates elastin and new formation of blood vessels to nourish the tissue, also known as angiogenesis.
Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid. It doesn’t give instant volume—it works gradually over weeks to build collagen for long-lasting volume and skin thickening.
-
Topical lidocaine is applied to your skin prior to any microneedling or microchanneling services, to aid in any discomfort. Lidocaine is mixed in the Radiesse, so it makes for a comfortable treatment as well.
After a microneedling or microchanneling treatment, your skin will be varying shades of red, like a sunburn. This should dissipate over next next few hours- to days, depending on the depth of treatment.
You should avoid fish oil, any NSAIDs, such as motrin, aleve or ibuprofen and alcohol a few days prior to the treatments, as it can cause additional bleeding/bruising and affect the natural healing process.
